Sometimes I paint out of confusion or frustration, hoping expectantly to hear from God in what I see before me.
Sometimes I paint out of need to be heard. Feeling so full of truth or hope that I need to share it with those I see around me.
Sometimes I paint despite the nagging lies that it doesn't matter because no one will ever want them as their own.
But this one...was painted out of sheer joy. Just joy in being alive. Thankfulness for another day that was not promised. Another day to share joy with my little love bugs and the man who loves me despite knowing me so well.

Together
We all know it's easier to carry a load with someone else...and I don't mean a heavy bag. So why is it so hard to allow ourselves the decadence of vulnerability- the kind it takes to ask for help? The truth is that when we do or when we pause long enough from our "to-do" list to see that a friend needs our support, the beauty of the shared moments or even sadness or burdens is that much more enjoyed...together.
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up... Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."
